Biography
Nemanja Majdov was born 10th of august 1996. in Pale. He gradueted from primary scholl Saint Sava in
2011. as top of his class. 2015. he graduatetes from high school as pharmacy
techinician. Then he continues his education at the Faculty of Physical Education and
Sport in East Sarajevo, where he is currently a fourth year student.
Nemanja Majdov began to train judo in early childhood. In 2003 he dressed his first
judogi and for 16 years he continues to succeed in world of judo and wider. Since
2013. Nemanja has been a member of judo club "Red Star" from Belegrade, and in
the same year he started his career under the flag of Serbia. He is the holder of
master's title - black belt 3rd DAN. As a boy, Nemanja achieved great success on
tatami. He is the winner of over 200 medals of novice and pioneer ages. In the period
from 2006 to 2009 He stayed undefeated when he had a series of 198 wins on the
territory of the former SFRY. He is a multiple state champion from novice through
senior cathegory. In 2011, Nemanja began his professional judo career, continuing
with a series of successes.
In 2014 he climbed to the roof of Europe by winning gold at the European Championship in Bucharest, and he repeats same success 2016 in Malaga. At the Olympic Games for Youth 2014 held in China, he clung to silver. In 2017, Nemanja Majdov returns from the World Cup held in Budapest with gold medal around his neck. He became a World Champion, and Serbia got its first ever world champion. He is Vice-Champion of Europe for 2018 (Tel Aviv) and silver at the Mediterranean Games 2018 (Tarragona). 2019th was very successful year for this young athlete. In Marrakech (Morocco) he wins his first Grand Prix in career. In May he wins his first ever Grand Slam in career in Baku. Also he wins second world medal for Serbia, this time bronze which shines in gold considering he had injured knee and still managed to win seven of his matches. At the end of the year he wins first ever masters medal (bronze) for Serbia in China. He is the best ex-Yugoslavian judoka of all time.
He was named the best young athlete of Serbia in 2014, and in the same year he becomes the Ambassador of Sports of Republika Srpska. He is the best athlete from the Republic of Srpska for 2017 and the best athlete of the Red Star Sports Club for the same year. He is also the winner of the special awards of the Olympic Committee of Serbia for 2017. On January 9, 2018, on the day of glory of the Republic of Srpska, Nemanja was honored by the President of the Republic with a meritorious merit for the people. In 2018. Nemanja was named the best athlete of city Belegrade. On 5th of Martch, at the celebration of Red Star's 75th birthday, Nemanja was named best athlete of Red Star sports society, while his father and coach Ljubisa was named the best coach. He is also a member of MUP forces of Republic of Srpska. And the rest is history...
